Cow and toad
ウシが水を飲んでいて、ガマの子を踏み潰しました。
There was a cow drinking water and trod on a little baby toad unintentionally.
その場にいなかった母親がやって来て、その子の兄弟たちに、あの子はどこにいるのと聞きました。

お母さん、死んじゃったよ。　ついさっき、大きな四つ足がやってきて、ひづめで上から潰してしまったんだ

そこでガマ母親は、体を膨らませて、
Then the mother swelled out excessively,
そのけものは、これくらい大きいかったかい？
"Was that animal such this big?",
と、聞きますと、子どもたちは母親に「だめだよ。

あのけものの様に大きくならないうちに、自分の方がはじけるよ」

と言いました

小さな者が、大きな者の真似をする事は危険な事です。
