トヨタ自動車は「シエンタ」などの車種で不具合があり、最悪の場合、火災が発生する恐れがあるとして、約23万台をリコールすると国土交通省に届け出ました。　
Toyota Motor Corporation has notified the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism that it is recalling approximately 230,000 units of its Sienta and other models due to a defect that could cause a fire in the worst case.
対象はトヨタの「シエンタ」「ポルテ」「スペイド」「カローラアクシオ」「カローラフィールダー」の5車種のうち、2015年2月から2017年8月まで製造された23万4787台です。　
The subject is 234,787 units of five Toyota models: Sienta, Porte, Spade, Corolla Axio, and Corolla Fielder, manufactured from February 2015 to August 2017.
国土交通省によりますと、「スタータ」と呼ばれるエンジンを始動する装置に不具合があり、エンジンが掛からない状態で始動の操作を繰り返すと過熱し、最悪の場合、火災が発生する恐れがあるということです。
