東日本大震災からまもなく10年です。
It's been 10 years since the East Japan Earthquake.
仙台市では震災からの復興と新型コロナウイルスの終息を願うたこが揚げられました。
In Sendai City, kites were released into the sky to pray for recovery from the earthquake and the end of the corona virus.
青空を舞うたくさんの子どもの笑顔が舞っています。　
The smiles of many children were flying in the clear blue sky.
若林区の河川敷では30枚以上が連なったたこが揚がりました。　
On both sides of the river bank of Wakabayashi ward, more than 30 kites were released in the sky.
たこには東北の被災地などで撮影された子どもたちの笑顔がプリントされていて、製作に約1カ月かかりました。
Kites were printed with the smiles of young children that were taken in the disaster area in Tohoku, and it took about a month to make them.
「すごいなって思います。いつでもここはたこ揚げしてるが、子どもたちの写真は初めて」　
“I find it wonderful. Kites are always flown here, but this is the first time there are kites with pictures of children. "
主催者によりますと、マスク姿でなかなか笑顔が見られないなか、多くの人に元気と希望を与えたいという思いも込められているということです。
According to the organizers, when it is difficult to see people's smiles in the masks, they want to be able to bring healthy spirit and hope to many people.
