コンビニエンスストア大手のローソンはナチュラルローソンの都内5店舗でドライフルーツの「輪切りレモン」や「素焼きアーモンド」など8種類の商品の量り売りを始めました。　
Lawson, a large convenience store, began selling eight types of products by weight, including dried fruit such as "sliced lemons" and "unseasoned almonds", at five Natural Lawson stores in Tokyo.
ローソンはこれまでハンドソープやシャンプーの量り売りをしていましたが、利用客の約8割は女性で、持参した容器に自分に必要な量を購入することで食品ロスやプラスチックの削減を目指します。　
Lawson used to sell hand soap and shampoo by weight, but about 80% of their customers are women so they want to reduce food loss and plastic by allowing users buy as much as they need in a carry-on container.
コンビニ業界では、販売期限の近い商品から取るように呼び掛ける「てまえどり」キャンペーンなど食品ロスを削減する動きが広がっています。
Within the convenience store industry, there are growing movements to reduce food loss, such as the "Temaedori" campaign, which calls for buying products near their expiry date.
