流通大手の「イオン」が関東のスーパー「いなげや」を子会社化すると発表しました。
Distribution giant "Aeon" announced that it would make Kanto supermarket "Inageya" its subsidiary.
スーパーの「いなげや」は、明治33年（1900年）に東京・立川市で鮮魚店として創業し、現在は1都3県に展開しています。　
Inageya Supermarket was founded in 1900 as a fresh fish store in Tachikawa, Tokyo and now operates in Tokyo and three surrounding prefectures.
「イオン」は「いなげや」への出資率をこれまでのおよそ17％から、今年11月をめどに51％に引き上げます。　
Aeon will increase its stake in Inageya from approximately 17% to 51% by November of this year.
来年11月には、スーパーの「マルエツ」や「マックスバリュ関東」を傘下に持つイオンの子会社「ユナイテッド・スーパーマーケット・ホールディングス」に経営統合する方針です。　
In November next year, the company plans to integrate its operations into United Supermarket Holdings, an Aeon subsidiary that owns the Maruetsu and Maxvalu Kanto supermarket chains.
「イオン」の吉田昭夫社長は「少子高齢化やエネルギー価格の高騰など環境が厳しさを増すなか、スケールメリットを生かして、首都圏で強いスーパーマーケット連合体をつくっていく」と述べました。
