来年のアメリカ大統領選挙で共和党候補の1人として有力視されているフロリダ州のデサンティス知事は、週明けに予定している日本訪問を「楽しみにしている」と語りました。　
Florida Governor DeSantis, one of the leading Republican candidates in next year's U.S. presidential election, said he is "looking forward" to his planned visit to Japan later in the week.
保守系シンクタンクのイベントに出席したデサンティス氏は、不法移民問題などを取り上げ、バイデン政権を批判しました。　
Attending an event at a conservative think tank, DeSantis criticized the Biden administration for addressing issues such as illegal immigration.
「バイデン政権で不法に流入した何百万もの人を見てください。これは全くの茶番で、自分の国の国境さえ維持できない国なのだ」　
“Look at the millions that have come in illegally under the Biden administration. This is a total travesty, a country that cannot even maintain its own borders.”
大統領選出馬を見据え、共和党内でトランプ氏に次ぐ支持を集めるデサンティス氏は24日から日本など4カ国を訪問します。　
DeSantis, who is second only to Trump in the Republican Party in terms of support for presidential run, will visit four countries, including Japan, starting on the 24.
