Enjoy early spring at Atami Atami Baien Bay! Plum Festival (January Ichigatsu 10th Toka to March Sangatsu 8th Yoka)
At Atami Plum Garden, located in Atamishi, Shizuokaken, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the ``Plum Festival'' is held every year from January 10th to March 8th.
This is one of the places in Japan where you can feel the arrival of spring the earliest.
Baien Baien has about 470 red, pink, and white plum blossoms, which are very beautiful.
Ume plums in Atami Atami bloom earlier than those in other places.
Flowers begin to bloom from the end of November to the beginning of December, so you can enjoy the feeling of spring even in the winter.
Baien Baien has more than 59 types of plum trees, and you can see the flowers blooming for a long time from the beginning of January to the end of March.
At the Plum Festival, you can not only see the plum blossoms, but also enjoy traditional music and geisha dances.
You can also see plum blossoms while taking a footbath.

The location is Atami Baien (8-11 Baiencho, Atami, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture), a 10-minute walk from Kinomiya Station on the JR Kinomiya Station.
Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission fee is 300 yen.
